On Wednesday, November 10th, we will be having a social meeting and opportunity for open discussion at 6:30 pm at Johnny Carino’s in Brier Creek. Please RSVP by emailing us by Tuesday, November 9th.

If you would like more information on the rescheduling of this seminar, email us or visit the library's calendar at

Next Meeting and Mentor Request

First, a heads up on our next meeting, Dinner with Duke University SWE: We have set a date of October 28 at 7:00 pm, location still TBD (but it will be near Duke's campus).

Second, we received a note from Jon Protz (via a former Eastern NC SWE member) seeking a mentor - see his note below. If you're interested in mentoring, let us know and we'll provide you with his email address!

"I have three former students (one still a current student, one up at MIT now for grad school) who have founded an all-female rocket company around some IP they are licensing from Duke. They could use a good mentor."
